Lighting Living Lab had the pleasure of participating in a workshop held at the PCI (Science and Innovation Park in Ílhavo) yesterday. The workshop aimed to introduce and help “design” the new National Microelectronics Observatory.

During the morning, a series of group activities were conducted to facilitate the “design thinking” of the platform, through a 360º perspective involving various entities in the sector. This involved discussions on the type of information, indicators, and data to be collected, as well as an understanding of how the digital platform could systematize, provide, and disseminate this information to interested parties.

At the end of the event, each group presented their “work,” followed by a discussion about the future of microelectronics in Portugal and globally. The conversation touched on challenges ranging from education to the business reality. The event concluded with a networking lunch.
